Bono defends Madonna's adoption
Bono defends Madonna’s adoption of Malawian baby, despite the widespread criticism. He believes that it was her right to do so and that it was a noble act.
“Madonna should be applauded for helping to take a child out of the worst poverty imaginable and giving him the chance of a better life.”
He continued to The Sun, speaking about a man, who loved his son so much, that he came up to him and begged him to take his son with them.
“It is heartbreaking but he asked us to take his child home with us because he couldn’t feed him. This happens all the time in parts of Africa where unthinkable poverty means people simply can’t feed their children.”

Kylie Minoque feels tired
Kylie was forced to cancel the performance with U2, because she feels tired of her Australian part of Showgirl tour. She returned on stage with the Showgirl tour after diagnosed (and sucessfuly healed) breast cancer. The wanted to “repay” Bono the visit on her Showgirl tour performance, where they sung the duet Kids. Bono adviced her to take a few days off. I hope we will se them soon together.

Elton John calls to ban religion!
In the interview for Observer Music Monthly blamed Elton all religions for breeding hate (esp. against homosexuals) and he calls to ban them completely.
He says, “I think religion has always tried to turn hatred towards gay people. Religion promotes the hatred and spite against gays. But there are so many people I know who are gay and love their religion. From my point of view I would ban religion completely.
Organised religion doesn’t seem to work. It turns people into really hateful lemmings and it’s not really compassionate.”
Sir Elton added that he believes the world is heading towards another global war, and has called for musicians to unite in protest. He also critized the the religion leaders for not coming together.
“I said this after 9/11 and people thought I was nuts. Instead of more violence why isn’t there a meeting of religious leaders? It’s like the peace movement in the Sixties. Musicians got through to people by getting out there and doing peace concerts but we don’t seem to do them any more.
If John Lennon were alive today he’d be leading it with a vengeance.”

World is full of U2 :) (and especialy Bono)
It seems that the pop-culture is all about U2. I guess that it’s because of the Saints are comming single. What led me to this oppinion (except the fact that’s U2 is on air 24/7, and 1/4 visitors came here via “u2” keyword)? I’ve recently stumble upon two articles on Crush-Monkey’s weblog. The first one – Bono sings with Kylie ! – and the secont one – Tony Blair picks U2!. Well, I can see Kylie’s point. Bono it a big celebrity (as Robbie was, when he previously sung this song with her) and I guess that will raise her up in the “social ladder”. But the point, why Tony Blair picked U2 in the radio, is a secret to me. Especialy because of the fact that U2 is constantly criticising the war in Iraq (Bush & Blair’s job). I’d like to hear that call :P.

Faith Hill's Voux Pass
Everyone’s dealing in different way with loosing. Someone cries, someone is silent, but what Faith Hill did on the CMAs, that’s not usual. After announcing Carrie Underwood as Best Female Vocalist in live show, she shouted “WHAT!?!?”. I was laughing my head off, when I first saw it. Very funny video. Check the YouTube link below :)

Saints are comming - U2 & Green Day
About.com published the list of Top 10 Pop Music Videos of 2006. Where the Saints are comming music video was #4. It was only beaten by the #1 Arctic Monkeys’ When the sound goes down, telling a tale of one of the forgotten people of the night. It’s really good work. The cutting is awesome and the speed 100% correspond with the music. Just great. #2 – Pink’s Stupid Girls is a great satiric look at nowadays musical and cultural life. It funny and sad in the same time. And #3 Christina Aguilera – Hurt is also very moving story about how the fame changes people. And on the #4 is U2 & Green Day and Saints are comming. The music video is partly recorded on stage, partly in studio and some cuts are also from the huricane-destroyed New Orleans (Stealth bombers over New Orleans and the refrain Saints are coming, the sains… that makes me shiver a bit). I’m quite surprised. The song is 200% cool, but the video is…um… good and ordinary. What do you think? Leave a comment. But the James Blunt’s You’re Beautiful is cool. It’s about just… nothing. 3 mins of James taking his clothes off. And finally he jumps into the sea. Wow :D

U2's Bono - new Jesus?
Number of churches in US started to use the U2 songs during the mass.
Speaking to USA Today, Rev Blaire said that some U2 songs had inherently Christian messages to them.
He said: “Bach and Handel were the popular music of their day, and they had trouble getting played in church. The Methodist hymn writers once wrote contemporary music. Are we worshiping Bono? Absolutely not. No more so than we worship Martin Luther when we sing ‘A Mighty Fortress Is Our God.’”
Nothing is that hot as it’s cooked. :)
