Two Pandas are back with Motorola Zante Q900. Rumors about selling Twopandas to Google haven’t been confirmed, so we are back. Here are a couple information about the upcoming Smartphone from Motorola, the Zante Q900 – nicknamed the Sidekick Slide. It looks really nice and I think that this construction is mainly the best for playing games. Nevertheless the phone is mainly determined for multimedia functions. Features:

iPhone won’t be!

A big surprise for me Apple doesn’t own the iPhone trademark. The rightfully owner of the trademark is Cisco. It means that Apple can’t set the new phone as a iPhone and the phone will have to be named something else. It is a big loss for Apple, because the name has been built up by blogs and the mainstream press, to stand for the most highly coveted piece of vapor, ever.

Mobile phone into each pocket

According to a recent report by In-Stat, over 15% of people carry two wireless phones. Next evolution will be one phone to the each pocket. :) I hope that these 15% are only businessmen, because another reason of carrying 2 phones I don’t know. I want to know your opinions. Other findings include:

  • 80% camera phone users say they regularly carry their digital camera
  • 75% of SmartPhone users say they also carry a PDA
  • 50% of users of multimedia phones also carry their MP3 player

Another VERY expansive mobile phone

Gresso

Everyone knows the Vertu mobiles, and you may have also thought that they are the only one making the luxury mobile phones. Well, they are not :P Unknown manufacturer Gresso comes with luxury model made of gold and 200yrs old african wood. They are proud of the fact, taht every piece is a original. The phone comes also with patented keyboard layout and only 10mm tickness.

The designer in not yet known, but it’s someone famous from Italy ;) So is the price unknown. This model will only be sold in Russia.

It has been announced that Michael Jackson will be performing live at the World Music Awards in London next week. He will be honorated by Lifetime Achievement Award – Diamond Award that is given out to artists who have managed to sell more then 100million albums. He will probably perform the Thriller for the 25th aniversary of the album.

1GB SIM

Samsung S-SIM

Samsung announced a high-capacity simcard (they call it S-SIM), that will have 1GB integrated memory. That is great especialy for those phone models, that don’t have a card slot. The memory is called NAND Flash. The SIM also supports data encription.

“This new high-performance S-SIM demonstrates Samsung’s technology leadership and vision to provide ultimate technology and solutions for the fast evolving mobile and IT environment. The added data storage feature coupled with security measures of the SIM card is a powerful token in the hands of the end-user,” said Dr. Chil Hee Chung, senior vice president of chip card and microcontroller development team at Samsung Electronics.

Benq-Siemens mobile sales return problem

After announced bankrupt of Benq-Siemens mobile division stopped the service centers accepting new orders, because the bankrupted comapny refuses to pay them. The dealers in “quite a bad mood” :) Baecause thay have to pay the repairs at their own expense. There is big probability of complaints from the dealers segment agains Benq-Siemens.

Mission Impossible III distributed on phones

Nokia and Paramount are releasing the full-length Mission Impossible III on a memory card for its N93 phone. Can it be possible and useable? I think that yes, but not this film. I sometimes watch some serials on my mobile phone aboard but I’m a little skeptical about whether all the billowing smoke and flames of those hugely detailed action scenes will work on a mobile screen.
