Freddie Mercury in illegality!

Freddie Mercury

Can you imagine, that admiring Freddie Mercury can be illegal? No? Neither can I, but it’s true. In Freddie’s homeland – island of Zanzibar (he was born in Stone Town). The Association for Islamic Mobilisation and Propagation (Uamsho) is trying to prevent the Freddie’s Tribute beach party. It’ll be held on one of the island’s beaches as a celebration of Freddie’s 60th birthday.

UAMSHO leader Abdallah Said Ali told the BBC:
“We do not want to give our young generation the idea that homosexuals are accepted in Zanzibar.
We have a religious obligation to protect morals in society and anyone who corrupts Islamic morals should be stopped.”
