New Toshibas from IFA
The IFA in Berlin was an oportunity for Toshiba to show-up two new models. Clamshell TS808’s main features are nice design and rich equipment. TS705 comes with stow-away camera which can be turned behind the corner. Toshiba cooperate closely with Vodafone and the TS808 will be only available for Vodafone (it will be sold first by Swisscom Mobile – Vodafone’s branch).
TS808 comes with 1,3MPix camera. There is no second camera for video calls, although this model has UMTS support. Phone is also tri-band GSM and offers Class 10 GPRS. Main display is QVGA with 262,000 colors. External display is only monochromatic. Equipment contains MP3 player (useable with integrated stereo loudspeakers), Bluetooth, e-mail client and XHTML web browser. Internal memory of 10MB can be extended by Mini SD memory cards.
The TS705 is typical for it’s camera, which can be rotated “behind the corner”, so it can be used also for video calls. The phone is 3G ready and also support tri-band GSM and Class 10 GPRS. Main display has 176×220 points and 262,000 colors. Equipment contains MP3 player (useable with integrated stereo loudspeakers), Bluetooth, e-mail client and XHTML web browser. Internal memory of 10MB can be extended by Mini SD memory cards.
